STING, a nerve-rattling horror thriller, crawled into theaters nationwide in Spring 2024. The #StingMovie campaign was built to magnify spider terror and pull horror audiences into its web—leveraging immersive visuals, curated partnerships, and spine-tingling strategy.
The Approach:
To generate anticipation and drive awareness, we activated a multi-platform campaign across Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook – blending paid media and organic content to connect with fans of horror, suspense, and thrillers.
From targeted CTV and Google display and video ads to influencer collaborations with horror creators like Kit Lazer, Allie Tran, and BAD BIRDY, we kept the buzz creepy and authentic. Partnerships with theater chains including AMC and Cinemark delivered exclusive content drops, while horror staples like Bloody Disgusting and Fangoria amplified reach and credibility.
The Outcome:
A surge of fear-fueled excitement. STING’s theatrical release captured the attention of genre lovers everywhere, building a loyal community and driving strong box office results. Through strategic media buys and influencer-driven momentum, we brought spider terror to the mainstream with lasting bite.
Generated over 5 million impressions and 40.1K clicks to the landing page, and established social media partnerships with Wētā Workshop to engage fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the making of STING.
